Sights
Three corridors
Lednice–Valtice. Brno. Pálava. Each maps to hotels already in the index. Distances are short; days fill fast.
Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape
UNESCO parkland binding Lednice and Valtice with avenues, follies, and château interiors. Allocate a full day if walking between estates; half a day if driving one château and one garden. Valtice lodging (entry 07) places you inside the evening quiet of the town after ticketed hours end.
Practical: check seasonal opening times, wear shoes for gravel alleys, carry water in summer. Wine cellars in Valtice extend the day without rewriting the itinerary.
Brno
Špilberk Castle overlooks the grid. Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul marks Petrov hill. Villa Tugendhat requires timed tickets — book ahead. The Augustinian complex at Mendlovo náměstí (entry 06) combines lodging with Mendel history under one roof line.
Exhibition Grounds traffic peaks during trade fairs; Continental and International guests should expect fuller lobbies then. Evening walks through the old town stay compact — no casino narrative required for a Brno night.
Pálava & Mikulov
Děvín ridge trails, Svatý kopeček chapel climb, Mikulov Castle exhibitions. Cellar streets after descent. Entries 02 and 08 cover lodging temperaments.
Slavkov / Austerlitz
Château museum and battlefield monuments east of Brno. Pair with entry 10. Winter visits are quieter; summer brings coach groups.
Border note
Folmava is a transit and resort node, not a sightseeing capital. Use it when the itinerary already includes the Bavarian crossing — entry 01.
